Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Specialist with a strong focus on ServiceNow Discovery. The ideal candidate will have 5- 7 years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of implementing and managing ServiceNow Discovery solutions.This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow functionalities and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow Discovery solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct system analysis and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of ServiceNow applications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in ServiceNow and software development methodologies.
- Document software designs, processes, and technical specifications for future reference.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members on ServiceNow Discovery functionalities.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, including configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with ServiceNow modules and applications, particularly in ITSM and ITOM.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as IT Asset Management (ITAM) or IT Operations Management (ITOM).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and integration with third party applications.
- Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
- Certifications in ServiceNow (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Application Developer) are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 -7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on ServiceNow.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing ServiceNow Discovery solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
