- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally including full-cycle month-end close
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and standard accounting principles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), SUMIFS, and formula-driven reconciliations
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following accounting platforms: QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or NetSuite
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple client deliverables against recurring deadlines
- Professional written English and comfort working directly with US-based clients and team members
- Reliable internet connection and the ability to overlap with US business hours
- Prior experience at an outsourced accounting firm, CPA firm, or servicing multiple clients simultaneously
- Working knowledge of Bill.com (AP and AR workflows) and Ramp (spend management and card reconciliations)
- Bank transaction coding: Accurately categorize and code daily bank, credit card, and payment platform activity across multiple client accounts
- Month-end close: Execute month-end close procedures including journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortizations, and intercompany entries in accordance with established close checklists
- Account reconciliations: Prepare and review reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, balance sheet accounts, and other key ledger items; investigate and resolve variances
- Financial statement preparation: Compile monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet) for client review, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to US GAAP
- Ad hoc analysis: Support client and internal requests with ad hoc reporting, variance analysis, clean-up projects, and other accounting tasks as needed
