Junior High School English Teacher (Class Advisor)

A Teacher (Class Advisor and Subject Specialist) at Victory Christian International School ensures academic excellence and spiritual formation through subject instruction, classroom management, and mentorship. Teachers are expected to prepare lessons in advance, integrate technology and the Socratic Method, support students through mentoring, uphold discipline, and model Christ-centered values inside and outside the classroom.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Customize the curriculum and prepare course outlines before the start of the school year.
2. Post finalized course outlines on Google Classroom at the start of each quarter.
3. Upload all assigned tasks on Google Classroom at least one week in advance with reasonable deadlines.
4. Teach assigned subjects using effective instructional strategies, including the Socratic Method to promote dialogue and critical thinking.
5. Ensure that 100% of students pass the subject per quarter through effective teaching, interventions, and support.
6. Use and integrate technology (Google Classroom, multimedia tools, apps) in classroom teaching.
7. Attend classes on time and keep the camera on during online teaching sessions.
8. Manage classroom behavior and maintain student engagement.

1. Serve as a homeroom advisor, guiding students in academic, behavioral, and personal development.
2. Provide additional support through Study Hall, offering academic assistance and mentorship.
3. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns.

1. Encode and submit student grades, progress reports, and required documents accurately and on time.
2. Actively participate in meetings, training, and school events.
3. Assist in school projects, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
4. Respond to Google Classroom comments and parent/student emails within the day.

1. Attend daily devotions consistently.
2. Lead devotions when assigned, modeling Christian values.
3. Integrate faith into lessons and nurture students’ spiritual growth.

• Full-time role with 8 working hours daily.
• Up to 6 hours of teaching per day.
• Balance of online and onsite work, depending on school requirements.
• Participation in events, devotions, and meetings required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Licensed Professional Teacher (or willing to take the exam within a year).
• Strong subject expertise in assigned teaching areas.
• Active member of a Bible-believing, Christ-centered church.
• Skilled in classroom management, lesson planning, and educational technology.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Flexible, adaptable, and committed to holistic Christian education.
