NETWORK ENGINEER
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Managed Services Team provide important delivery services to CorpClouds client networks as well as essential support to our internal teams to enable business efficiency and capability.
The primary purposes of this solutions driven role are:
Working within the Network Design and Engineering (NDE) team you will be responsible for troubleshooting, documentation, service request management, deployments, remote support,and incident management of multi-vendor solutions for IP/MPLS networks and differing Network Technologies (Video, LTE, GPON, RF, WLAN, IPSEC, MSE, MBH)
We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated ICT professional to join our technical team.
As an escalation to our MSP Technical Support Team, you will be a subject matter expert (SME) for a range of IP network environments as well as assist the Solutions Team in providing advice on new technologies and how to integrate into existing client environments, as well as maintaining a high level of performance on existing customer environments, and infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Working with customers, architects, vendors and multiple internal business units to develop solutions, identify root causes of issues and provide technical resolutions and support for our customers and their various networking environments and requirements.
- Applying standard design, development and testing processes in customer environment/
- Building working relationships with team members to facilitate a culture of shared knowledge and common processes.
- Respond to incidents and requests, and update cases and communicate to both end
- users, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Perform first and second level troubleshooting of faults and issues escalated by the
- Support Teams and follow a defined troubleshooting methodology as well as run diagnostic tests to gather and analyse results for escalation to vendor support.
- Resolving complex escalated issues from other support staff.
- Install, configure, support, and maintain operating systems, and hardware and software components associated with the systems and technologies we support. This includes both physical network and IP systems including cloud hosted environments.
- Configuration of IP routing and switching equipment
- Planning for data and industrial wireless networks.
- Update High Level and Detailed Design documentation & drawings
- Research and implement new technologies to enhance client offerings and service.

- Routing and Switching, or Service Provider certification or similar experience (Cisco CCNA/CCNP Voice, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of IP protocols (OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, MCAST, QoS).
- Proficiency in IGP routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, RIP) theories.
- Practical experience in MPLS-VPN, MP-BGP and MPLS-TE technologies
- Practical experience in translating IP solution and associated design documents to configuration on the IP routers and switches
- Good knowledge and strong background in IP technologies, Data Communication, LAN, WAN, MPLS and VPN services
- Practical experience on Calix (GPON), Ruckus(RF) equipment is preferred.
- Proficient in configuring and managing network solutions with a focus on Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik, Ruckus, Calix technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with VPN technologies, network design, troubleshooting, and implementation of complex network solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, to support scalable, cloud-based network solutions.
- Experience with hosted IP Telephony systems, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of modern communication platforms.
- Understanding of managed services and proficiency with support ticketing software, such as Connectwise, to enhance service delivery.
- Experience in maintaining network monitoring software, especially PRTG & NMS, ensuring optimal network performance and security.
- ITIL v4, CCNA, CompTIA N+ Certified
