Data Engineer - Quezon City

Ascendion is also headquartered in New Jersey. In addition to our remote/hybrid workforce, we have 30 offices across the U.S., India, and Mexico.

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to design and manage data pipelines, maintain high-quality data infrastructure, and support business intelligence and analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze data from various sources to create datasets for business intelligence and analytics.
• Design efficient data pipelines to integrate data into the in-house data warehouse.
• Develop data marts to provide curated datasets for internal stakeholders.
• Recommend and implement data model updates in line with data warehouse standards.
• Plan and execute data migration from existing systems to the in-house data warehouse.
• Maintain data quality and ensure the reliability of the in-house data warehouse.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and platforms for seamless operation.
• Create prototypes for data solutions and analytical tools.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data quality and explore new data sources.
• Perform data migrations and contribute to improving database infrastructure.
• Advocate for best practices and standards in data engineering.

Required Skills:

• 4 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, preferably in the financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience with databases and data warehouses, including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS (e.g., RDS, Fargate).
• Practical knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM).
• Experience designing and building data models.

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Certified Data Engineer Associate
• Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification
