Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and principled Compliance Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company functions in a legal and ethical manner while chasing our business goals. You will be responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks.
The ideal candidate is a professional with high integrity who is comfortable navigating complex regulatory landscapes and can communicate legal requirements to various departments in a clear, actionable way.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Management: Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies to ensure the company meets all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Periodically conduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with laws and internal protocols; provide regular reports to senior management.
- Advisory: Act as a subject matter expert for leadership, providing guidance on compliance-related matters during business planning.
- Training: Design and lead training sessions for employees to ensure a high level of awareness regarding corporate ethics and regulatory standards.
- Investigation: Lead internal investigations into compliance breaches or potential violations and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory bodies or government agencies during audits or inquiries.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a compliance, legal, or risk management role.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of industry-specific regulations and labor laws.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and compliance management software.
- Attributes: High ethical standards and the ability to remain objective under pressure.
