Mechanical Design Engineer | BGC, Taguig

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensures the proper handling and evaluation of projects for both new and existing plants.
• Defines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and key elements in alignment with the project schedule.
• Evaluates contractor bids and assesses proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Reviews technical specifications and supplier offers by analyzing product designs, requirements, and performance standards.
• Maintains project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating activities, and addressing any issues that arise.
• Prepares comprehensive project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Collaborates effectively with the Project Manager and other team members to provide technical assistance and support.
• Manages project data by developing and maintaining a structured database, including data entry and backups.
• Oversees the design, selection, and maintenance of systems, equipment, and products for existing mills.
• Designs equipment parts to resolve design challenges using CAD software.
• Prepares tender documents and ensures proper documentation for supplier selection.
• Coordinates with end-users to address and resolve operational concerns.
• Contributes to team objectives by achieving key project milestones and deliverables.
• Ensures the accurate preparation, review, consolidation, and submission of work-related reports.
• Develops technical offers, tender documents, design layouts, diagrams, assembly drawings, and project schedules.
• Assists the construction management team with on-site tasks as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned, including assignment to various site areas to assist the construction management team.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer is a plus but not required
• At least 5 years of related work experience
• Physically able to report in BGC, Taguig
• Must be willing to perform site visit/deployment from time to time
