Ice Plant Operations Manager / Supervisor
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Ice Plant upervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our ice plant located in Apalit, Pampanga. This full-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable production of ice to support our fishpond hatchery operations.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ice plant management and a keen understanding of the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.
What you'll be doing- Manage all aspects of ice plant operations, including production scheduling, maintenance, and quality control
- Ensure the ice plant operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and increase productivity
- Liaise with the hatchery team to coordinate ice delivery and meet production demands
- Supervise and train a team of ice plant technicians and operators
- Maintain detailed records and generate regular reports on plant performance and productivity
- Collaborate with the wider management team to identify and address operational challenges
The successful candidate must be available to work shift patterns as required by operational demands.
What we're looking for- Minimum 5 years of experience in ice plant or similar manufacturing operations management
- Strong technical knowledge of ice plant equipment, processes, and maintenance procedures
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve operational excellence
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in data analysis and report generation to support operational decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing industry
- Bachelor's degree required for this position
