We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Design Engineer (Mechanical | Python/C++ | Technical Drafting) to support a growing engineering and design team specializing in mechanical systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong CAD experience and a solid understanding of engineering principles, with the ability to translate technical specifications into accurate, high-quality drawings.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Flexible within client business hours, NSW Time Zone); 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software for mechanical, structural, and electrical systems
Prepare and issue drawings based on specification sheets for internal teams and client presentations
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and installers to resolve design challenges
Apply coding skills to design, test, and optimize engineering models, simulations, and workflows
Review and update drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate documentation and version control of all drawings

Qualifications

Proven experience in drafting and design using CAD software (or equivalent)
Background in Mechanical Engineering is preferred (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
Experience in Python and/or C++ for engineering applications (e.g., modeling, simulation, automation)
Strong ability to read and interpret technical specifications
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
