Machine-tool setter-operator

Job Description

1. Sets up machine at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order;
2. Performs testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during production;
3. Maintains and cleans the assigned machine before and after each use;
4. Feeds information as to speed, shapes and sizes through the machine set up box;
5. Calibrates machine at the beginning of each shift;
6. Monitors machine during every procedure to ensure optimum running;
7. Troubleshoots problem during machine operation;
8. Ensures that regular and preventive maintenance procedure of the machine/s being used are carried out;
9. Performs safety checks on every machine;
10. Creates and maintains activity logs;
11. Provides relevant information regarding progress to supervisors;
12. Sees to it that good housekeeping and safety practices are regularly followed;
13. Complies with all company rules and regulations particularly on safety and health;
14. Performs other functions as may be required from time to time.

• At least high school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) year's experience
• Knowledgeable in moulds & dies processes
• Knowledgeable and can operate Hydraulic Press & Mechanical Press machine or its equivalent
• Understand safety procedures and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Understand housekeeping procedures
• No records on file from government agencies (NBI/PNP)
