ASSISTANT FACILITIES MANAGER
BROAD FUNCTION
To assist the Facilities Manager in day to day operations and maintenance of the hotels and oversee the upkeep of the physical space and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. He supports the Facilities Manager in ensuring the hotel’s physical assets; building systems, guest rooms, and public areas are safe, functional, clean, and well-maintained.KEY RESULT AREAS
Daily Operations and Maintenance
- Perform or delegate routine preventive maintenance (PM) on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, locks, furniture, paintwork, and basic carpentry.
- Carry out the renovation and repairs on electrical / mechanical aspects, replacement of major equipments and machineries including:
o All pumps; water, fire, cistern, jocky, submersible, transfer, and others
o Laundry equipment; washer and dryer
o STP
o Genset
o CCTV/ DVR/ DVD/ Wi-fi
o Sprinkler/ Fire Alarm/ Fire Protection System
o Water heater
- Conduct branch visit to identify and rectify defects such as peeling paint, dripping faucets, burnt-out bulbs, noisy AC units, etc
- Supervise and schedule the external contractor
- Coordinate with the building and maintenance staff
- Update the preventive maintenance calendar
- Ensure compliance with local fire, health, safety, and building codes.
- Maintain accurate records for fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and elevator inspections.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety training for staff.
- Manage waste disposal and pest control contracts.
- Act as part of the emergency hotel’s response team for fire, flood, and power outage.
Performs other related duties as directed
Qualifications/Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATION- Graduate of BS Electrical Engineer
- With license as Electrical Engineer
- With 3 years of experience in hotel industry or its equivalent
