PA & Health Underwriting Manager

1. Directs and coordinates the management of the Accident & Health Department.

1. Ensures that Accident & Health products are underwritten to meet the loss ratio, profit, and premium volume growth for short and long-term objectives.
2. Supports the Marketing and Branch Line Managers to seize new growth opportunities in securing accounts though the application of alternative solutions and calculated risk-taking.
3. Leads new product development to meet the current and potential market needs and maintain underwriting profit while ensuring regulatory compliance. To actively participate in, support and achieve the agreed results for new product launches, creation of strategic partnerships and specific marketing campaigns.
4. Ensure policy issuance administration is cost effective and efficient in line with ISO quality and customer service standards, ICP and SOP.

1. Continuous evaluation of the training and educational needs of staff to ensure a proactive team of professionals are developed for current and future growth requirements of the department.

Minimum 8+ years of underwriting experience in Personal Accident & Health insurance is required.

Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

Professional insurance certifications are required at the time of application.
