Rigger

Job Description

The Rigger is responsible for the maintenance, inspection and installation of various rigging gears and leads crane lifting operation.

Detailed Job Description:

• Inspects the condition of snatch blocks, fittings and slings for possible damages and if these are compatible to the job requirement.
• Installs the appropriate rigging gears based on the job requirement and ensures it is safely and properly attached.
• Guides the crane operator in lifting, handling and transferring various loads by communicating through radio and hand signals.
• Informs the crane operator for any irregular work condition that may pose as a risk to the safe operation of the crane.
• Checks all safety devices and hoisting cables of the crane and reports abnormalities or the need for replacement.
• Checks all shackles, sling belts and cables regularly before operations and immediately report to superior for observed damages or wear and tear.
• Assists the lifting supervisor in creating a lifting plan.
• Immediately reports any findings during crane operation to the operator and immediate superior for proper action.
• Ensures that the covered work area of the crane is clear of hazards and people to avoid accidents.
• Ensures that rigging gears are properly stored and maintained.
• Follows established safety guidelines, procedures and safe equipment operation practices.
• Performs other related job/duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

• High School Graduate
• Certified with TESDA RIGGING NCI
• Minimum of 2 years experience
