Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP), a leading renewable energy company in the Philippines focused on delivering high-quality and cost-competitive solar energy and energy efficiency projects, is looking for a detail-oriented and resourceful Financial Analyst to join our growing team.
The Financial Analyst will support the financial health and growth of our renewable energy company by focusing on the analysis of financial performance across operational, investment, and strategic areas. The role involves interpreting financial data, developing models, conducting forecasts, and preparing reports that enable data-driven strategic decision-making.The Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights, helping to drive sustainable growth and optimize financial outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Analysis & Modeling:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
- Develop detailed financial models, including forecasting, valuation models, and cash flow projections.
- Perform variance analysis between actual and budgeted results.
Forecasting & Performance Tracking:
- Create and maintain rolling forecasts for cash flows, revenues, and expenditures.
- Monitor and report on key financial ratios and performance indicators such as profitability, liquidity, and efficiency metrics.
Reporting & Decision Support:
- Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports and dashboards to management.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and scenario modeling to support business planning and resource allocation.
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support cost control, investment decisions, and revenue growth.
Financial Statements & Compliance:
- Interpret and analyze core financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Ensure financial accuracy and assist in audit preparation and compliance with internal controls.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CFM are a plus.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, forecasting techniques, financial ratios, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Excellent ability to communicate financial data clearly and concisely.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and pivot tables.
- Proficiency with financial systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines while handling multiple financial tasks effectively.
- Curious and data-driven mindset, with awareness of current industry and economic trends.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
