What are we looking for?

A proactive accounting professional with a passion for property accounting and corporate financial management. This role will give you hands-on experience across financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement in a supportive and dynamic environment.

What are you expected to do?

Property Accounting
  • Manage month-end processes, including income journals, occupancy and rate journals, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accrual schedules and prepare Profit and Loss statements with variance commentary.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet, GST, and cash flow reconciliations.
  • Oversee key income and expense streams, such as letting income, departure cleaning expenses, and prepayment expenses.
  • Assist Property Managers with account reviews, annual budgets, and forecasts.
  • Deliver quarterly and annual reports for property owners, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
Corporate Accounting
  • Support annual audits and fringe benefits tax return preparation.
  • Conduct inter-company reconciliations and review creditor payments, trust payments, and bond refunds.
  • Process corporate credit cards, including GST and GL code reviews.
  • Manage debtors and provide arrears reporting.
  • Provide coverage for Assistant Accountants and complete their tasks during absences.
  • Handle administrative duties and ad-hoc reporting for the Finance team.
Other Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements.
  • Support ad-hoc performance reporting requests from the management team.
  • Provide coverage for team members and ensure adherence to Australian Accounting Standards and governance processes.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You hold bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
  • You bring at least 4 years of experience in property (at least 2 properties) and corporate accounting, preferably Australian or Global Accounting
  • You have relevant experience in end-to-end financial accounting, particularly in preparing multiple full sets of Profit & Loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations independently
  • You have proven experience in variance analysis, with the ability to compare actuals vs. budget and provide insightful commentary on key variances
  • You have strong understanding of accounting standards and principles, and ability to apply them confidently in day-to-day work
  • You have experience supporting budgeting cycles and contributing to ad hoc financial analysis
  • You have experience using accounting systems and tools (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, or similar); advanced Excel skills preferred
  • You have excellent stakeholder communication skills, with a track record of working directly with non-finance teams to explain accounting treatments and resolve queries
  • You have an ability to challenge assumptions, think critically, and contribute to decision-making processes beyond basic data entry
  • You have high attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement

We will be absolutely thrilled if you also have the following:

  • You are proactive in suggesting improvements to systems and processes.
  • You have experience in property accounting or financial management within the real estate sector.

What you gain beyond the role:

  • Remote + Hybrid Flexibility: Enjoy the best of both worlds—collaborative office days when it counts, balanced with the freedom to work from home.
  • Achieve Work-Life Balance and Flexibility: Work in an environment where you’re trusted and empowered to work independently, while still having the support you need to deliver your best. Here, flexibility isn’t just a perk—it’s how we help you perform at your best, without sacrificing life outside of work.
  • Open Culture: Your voice matters, we encourage proactive communication and fresh ideas.
  • Supportive Team: From your very first day to every career milestone, we’ve got your back—with long-term growth and projects you can truly thrive in.
  • Learn and Grow: Training, coaching, and international opportunities to level up your skills and career
  • Be part of a B-Corp company that puts people and planet first while creating meaningful impact.

Please note: This role is remote; however, we require candidates to be based locally in the Philippines. This is to support occasional onsite activities such as team events, client meetings, or equipment handover. Additionally, local residency is necessary for compliance with Philippines labor laws and employment regulations.
