About the role

NYGC Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing finance team. This is a full-time position based in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our company's cash flow and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients and contribute directly to the company's financial success.

What you'll be doing

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Processing and recording customer invoices and ensuring accuracy in the accounts receivable system
  2. Sending out invoices and payment reminders to customers in a timely and professional manner
  3. Following up on overdue accounts and managing the collection process to minimise bad debts
  4. Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies or payment disputes
  5. Maintaining detailed records of customer transactions and payment histories
  6. Preparing accounts receivable reports and aged debt analyses for management review
  7. Communicating with customers to resolve billing issues and clarify payment terms
  8. Assisting with credit assessments for new customers and credit limit reviews
  9. Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes
  10. Collaborating with sales and operations teams to ensure smooth customer interactions

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. 2-4 years of proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar finance role
  2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices within the accounts receivable function
  3. Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create formulas and pivot tables
  5. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  7. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  8. Understanding of credit management principles and best practices in debt collection
  9. A professional approach to handling sensitive financial matters and customer confidentiality
  10. Relevant qualifications such as an Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field are preferred
  11. Certification or coursework in accounting or credit management would be advantageous
