We are looking for a skilled and dependable General Carpenter to perform a wide range of carpentry tasks including construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate should be experienced in both rough and finish carpentry, able to read blueprints, and committed to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install materials such as wood, plywood, drywall, and other building materials.
• Build frameworks, walls, floors, doors, windows, roofing, cabinets, and other wooden structures.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry machinery safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and repair damaged structures or fixtures.
• Install hardware such as hinges, handles, locks, and other fittings.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals like electricians, plumbers, and masons.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and working order.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• TESDA Carpentry NC II certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a carpenter in construction or maintenance settings.
• High school diploma, vocational course, or equivalent.

Requirements:

• Skilled in using carpentry tools and equipment (manual and powered).
• Knowledge of wood properties and other building materials.
• Physical strength, stamina, and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or on various job sites when necessary.
