AutoCAD Draftsman

Job Summary:

Your work will support the engineering, fabrication, and installation teams in delivering high-quality, custom interior solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings and layouts for custom automotive interiors, including seats, dashboards, consoles, trim panels, lighting, flooring, and cabinetry.
• Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and interior designers to translate concepts into precise technical drawings.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from internal teams or clients and ensure compliance with manufacturing and safety standards.
• Prepare design documentation including BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly instructions, and spec sheets.
• Create 3D models and renderings (if using AutoCAD 3D or compatible 3D tools) to support client visualization and prototyping.
• Ensure accuracy of measurements and fitment using vehicle specifications and on-site verifications.
• Maintain drawing standards, version control, and organized CAD file management.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D a plus).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, Automotive Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in CAD design, preferably in the automotive or custom fabrication industry.
• Experience with automotive interior systems, materials, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of additional design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight tolerances.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to work under deadlines.
