What is the job?

The Virtual Engineer provides technical support to the operations team through clear communication and precise modeling.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Construction Operations Team to build Electrical BIM Models for construction projects.
• Provide VDC modeling of electrical systems.
• Create shop drawings and coordinated layouts for total stations.
• Develop prefabrication models for the prefab department.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of modeling deliverables to support project requirements.
• Communicate project updates clearly to the operations team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience
• 1–5 years of experience using Autodesk software (Revit, Navisworks, APL, BIM 360) to create Electrical BIM models
• Skilled in preparing electrical component drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in modeling, and ability to support cross-functional project teams
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
