Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Assistant to join our startup construction company. You will be responsible for administrative tasks such as preparing purchase order, checking invoices for accuracy and maintaining procurement records.A procurement assistant supports procurement activities by maintaining supplier relationships. Processing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. They assist in vendor negotiations, maintain accurate records, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities- Ensures that all the purchasing procedures are being taken in place following the policy and guidelines.
- Assist sending purchasing request to trustable vendors and evaluates the proposals in coordination with Project Engineers.
- Assists in the preparation of BIDS analysis, purchase requisitions, quotations and ensures the completion of forms and their corresponding signatures.
- Assist in looking for new providers of goods and services to offer a better service to projects. Additionally, supports the process of contracting services and consultancies.
- Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information.
- Monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential shortages
- Managing and updating supplier databases
- Processing invoices and ensuring accurate payments
- Assisting in the evaluation of supplier performance and identifying potential new suppliers.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
