Capacity Planner

The Capacity Planner is responsible for ensuring that production resources-such a manpower, materials, equipment, and scheduling-are aligned with current and forecasted business demands. This role analyzes demand projections, production trends, and inventory levels to determine the required capacity and prevent shortages or bottlenecks.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Capacity Analysis & Forecasting
  • Identify gaps between available capacity and projected demand.
  • Analyze sales forecasts, historical trends, and production plans to determine required capacity.
Production & Resource Planning
  • Develop capacity plans that align manpower, materials, and equipment resources with demand.
  • Recommend adjustments to schedules, staffing, or production lines based on capacity needs.
Material Availability Monitoring
  • Highlight potential shortages and propose mitigation actions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work with Production, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to synchronize plans.
  • Communicate capacity constraints and required adjustments.
Performance Tracking
  • Monitor actual output versus planned capacity.
  • Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare capacity reports, dashboards, and scenario analyses for management review.
  • Maintain accurate planning records and data integrity.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
  • Support initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
Risk Mitigation
  • Anticipate risks such as unexpected demand spikes or supply delays.
  • Develop and recommend contingency plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Graduate of Vocational / Bachelor's degree related to Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing environment / FMCG industry, preferably within Production Planning and Inventory Control.
Specialized Knowledge
  • Training on Advanced Excel, Data Analysis, Warehouse
  • Knowledgeable in SAP, MRP, ERP
Core Competencies
  • Strong understanding of the supply chain process
  • Strong web-based and excel based planning tools experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
  • Full time
  • Eight (8) working hours / Six (6) days a week
  • One (1) rest day/ week
  • One (1) break time.
  • Shifting schedule.
