Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Purpose:

The QA Supervisor is instrumental in upholding Vienovo's commitment to 'Feed for Life' by ensuring the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance. This role strategically manages the implementation of quality policies and procedures, serving as a critical link between manufacturing operations and quality assurance objectives to prevent issues and drive continuous improvement.

Overview

The supervisor will proactively identify, address, and prevent quality-related issues, collaborate with various departments, and foster a culture of quality excellence across the manufacturing facility, significantly contributing to Vienovo's vision of becoming the top feed company in the Philippines.

• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Quality Inspectors, ensuring their adherence to quality standards, policies, and efficient work schedules.
• Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems across all production stages.
• Conduct thorough reviews and audits of production batch records, manufacturing processes, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory mandates.
• Manage and resolve quality-related issues, including customer complaints, non-conformances, and deviations, by initiating investigations, root cause analysis, and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).,
• Monitor the quality of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods through systematic inspection, testing, and ensuring strict adherence to formulation and quality specifications.
• Develop, implement, and maintain essential quality programs such as pest control, equipment calibration schedules, and supplier quality assessments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, R&D, and Procurement departments to address quality challenges, facilitate new formulation implementations, and drive process optimization.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly quality reports, analyses, and proactive recommendations to the Formulation and Quality Management to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

• Proven experience (3-5 years) in a Quality Assurance role within the feed, food, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industry.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity, demonstrating strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000).
• Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures, equipment calibration, and statistical process control.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, particularly in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, regulations, and specifications accurately.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.

• Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
• Certifications in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Supervisor, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt).
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Familiarity with Philippine regulatory requirements for feed manufacturing.
