Senior Accountant – General Accounting

1. Execute all accounting- and finance-related transactions.
2. Coordinate with counterparties including but not limited to the Independent Electricity Market Operator (IEMOP)
3. Support the finance team in internal and external reporting
4. Oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
5. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
6. Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
7. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain financial integrity.
8. Manage tax filings, audits, and compliance with financial regulations.
9. Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and efficiency.
10. Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
11. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
• At least 3 years of work experience in the top 5 reputable accounting firms in the Philippines
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

1. With at least 1-year experience in WESM transactions or energy trading transactions
2. Has handled transactions in the Philippine energy sector
