Job Description:

As a Licensed Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the safe dispensing, promotion, and distribution of generic medicines in accordance with legal and ethical standards. You will play a vital role in improving community health by providing guidance on the proper use of both prescription and over-the-counter medications.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper usage
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness of drug therapy
• Provide advice on possible drug interactions, side effects, and storage requirements
• Manage medicine inventory and ensure the safe storage of pharmaceuticals
• Train and supervise Pharmacy Assistants and pharmacy interns
• Support store operations, clinical research, and compliance with pharmacy protocols
• Participate in health promotion and education activities

Physical Demands:

• Regular use of hands to handle, feel, and reach with arms
• Frequent requirement to talk, hear, stand, and walk
• Must occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus

Working Environment:

• Frequently working while standing and walking in a retail setting
• Occasional use of tools, equipment, or controls
• Active interaction with customers and staff
• Moderate physical activity in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
• Registered and Licensed Pharmacist (PRC)
• At least 6 months of experience in a retail or drugstore setting preferred
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a plus
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
