Construction Manager

The Construction Manager is responsible to directly plan, supervise and oversee all phases of construction projects while ensuring that specifications, and plans are accurately adhered to, within the budget, and on schedule. To ensure that construction projects are completed on schedule, to prevent delays that could cause critical or financial risk, and to manage construction emergencies and other unforeseen issues that may arise; and to create a high-performance culture in the construction department by adopting people management practices that emphasize empowerment, quality, productivity standards, and goal attainment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinating and supervising construction activities, including managing subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions
  • Providing regular progress updates and reports to senior management
  • Collaborating with the design team to resolve technical and design-related issues
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
