Windows Systems Engineer

Location: Alabang, Muntinlupa

We are looking for an experienced Windows Systems Engineer (Cloud and DC Wintel Administrator) to manage and support our Windows server infrastructure, cloud environments, and enterprise backup systems. In this role, you will ensure the availability, security, and performance of IT services across both on-premises and cloud platforms while supporting business continuity through reliable backup and recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Perform server patching, firmware upgrades, and routine system maintenance.
• Monitor server health, performance, and availability.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.

• Support cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Provision, monitor, and maintain cloud resources.
• Assist with cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation for cloud configurations and procedures.

• Administer enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup.
• Monitor backup jobs and resolve failures.
• Perform regular restore testing to ensure data recoverability.
• Manage backup schedules, retention policies, and disaster recovery readiness.

• Monitor infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and fulfill service requests.
• Maintain system documentation, asset inventory, and configuration records.

• Apply security patches and system hardening standards.
• Support audit activities, access reviews, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure systems adhere to internal security policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of infrastructure administration experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in workstation build and automation.
• Strong experience administering Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and exposure to AWS cloud services.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage technologies and backup best practices.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Experience using monitoring and ITSM tools (e.g., SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, ServiceNow).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

• Experience with Azure Backup, Azure AD, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Exposure to GCP, Ansible, Terraform, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Qualys, or Tenable.
• Knowledge of storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.
