Job Summary

The ideal candidate has strong basic math skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a positive attitude under pressure.

• Payment Processing: Accurately ring up food and beverage items on the Point of Sale (POS) system. Process cash, credit/debit cards, gift certificates, and mobile payments efficiently.
• Cash Handling & Accountability: Count the cash drawer at the start of the shift to verify accuracy, secure cash drops throughout the day, and balance the drawer precisely against sales reports at closing.
• Order Intake & Accuracy: Take customer orders at the counter or over the phone with high accuracy, ensuring modifications, allergies, or special requests are correctly input into the system.
• Takeout & Delivery Coordination: Package and organize incoming takeout, delivery, or third-party app orders. Verify contents against the receipt before handing them over to ensure order accuracy.
• Discount & Deduction Verification: Apply authorized discounts, loyalty points, employee meal deductions, or promotional vouchers accurately, ensuring proper authorization rules are followed.
• Guest Service Excellence: Greet guests warmly upon approach and thank them sincerely as they leave. Answer basic inquiries regarding menu pricing, ingredients, and restaurant policies.
• Front-Stand Upkeep: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and clutter-free cashier station. Keep receipt paper, bags, condiments, and takeout utensils fully stocked.

• Experience: Proven experience as a cashier, retail associate, or similar role involving cash handling is highly preferred. Experience in a restaurant environment is a strong plus.
• Mathematical Skills: Excellent basic math skills with the ability to calculate changes and totals quickly and accurately without relying entirely on the system.
• Tech Savvy: Familiarity with modern touch-screen POS systems, receipt printers, and credit card terminals.
• Attention to Detail: High level of integrity and accuracy when managing transactions, identifying counterfeit currency, or processing refunds.
• Stamina & Flexibility: Ability to stand for long periods and work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and busy holiday shifts.
