Application Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable Application Support Engineer to support daily operations for US annuity products. The role involves monitoring scheduled jobs, nightly batch cycles, handling file transfers between systems and banks, and ensuring smooth functioning of applications by following defined SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage daily scheduled jobs across applications
• Identify and resolve job failures and performance issues in a timely manner
• Track inbound and outbound files between banks and upstream/downstream systems (through Axway file transfer system)
• Investigate and handle failures in file transfers (sending/receiving)
• Coordinate with relevant teams(internal and external teams) to resolve issues and ensure files are processed on time
• Follow SOPs for incident handling, escalation, and resolution
• Perform basic troubleshooting using SQL/Postgres queries
• Provide regular updates and status reports on job and file processing

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
• Understanding of batch processing and job scheduling
• Familiarity with file transfer processes and monitoring
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a support environment and coordinate with multiple teams
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in application support or related field
• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science

Good to Have:

• Exposure to FAST and Axway applications
• Basic development/scripting knowledge
