Senior ECAD Application / PCB CAD Engineer (Design Efficiency & Automation)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ECAD Application / PCB CAD Engineer (Design Efficiency & Automation) to drive the development of design efficiency tools and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CAD tools, scripting, and software development, with a focus on improving engineering workflows through automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain design efficiency tools to streamline PCB and ECAD workflows
• Build and enhance automation tools using Python, TCL, Perl, and C# .NET
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement automation solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# .NET
• Create and manage application installers and deployment packages

• Test, evaluate, and improve ECAD/PCB CAD tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve CAD-related technical issues
• Support integration of CAD tools with automation frameworks

• Develop, maintain, and debug scripts using Python, TCL, and Perl
• Automate repetitive engineering and design tasks
• Ensure scalability and efficiency of automation solutions

• Develop and maintain internal web tools using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Support dashboards or interfaces for engineering tools

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback
• Participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

• Create and maintain documentation for tools, scripts, and processes
• Develop SOPs and contribute to standardization across engineering teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 5+ years of experience in ECAD, PCB design, or application engineering
• Strong programming experience in Python, C# .NET, TCL, and/or Perl
• Experience with PCB CAD tools and ECAD environments
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and workflow optimization
• Experience in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
