About the role
JOJO BRAGAIS Shoes is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of materials and supplies for our manufacturing operations.This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
What you'll be doing- Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable contract terms
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and adherence to budget
- Collaborate with production and inventory teams to forecast and plan material requirements
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and inventory levels
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and product quality to ensure company standards are met
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of local and international purchasing regulations and best practices
- Experience in the footwear, fashion, or manufacturing industry is an advantage but not required.
