About the role
Ascendion is seeking a talented and experienced Sr Back End Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Sr Back End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient back-end systems that power our innovative products.This is a full-time, in-office role based in Mandaluyong City Metro Manila.
What you'll be doing- Develop and maintain high-performance, reliable, and secure back-end services and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design optimal solutions
- Implement and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and manage data integrations
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment
- Continuously improve development processes, practices, and tools to enhance productivity and code quality
- Mentor and guide junior developers, share knowledge, and contribute to the team's technical growth
- 5+ years of experience as a Back End Developer or Software Engineer
- Proficiency in one or more back-end programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js)
- Solid experience on Springboot and knowledge in cloud technologies
- Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with software design patterns, architecture principles, and best practices
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
