Purpose of the position:
The Warehouse and Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the Distribution Center (DC), ensuring efficient warehouse management, accurate inventory control, and timely distribution of finished goods.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, and dispatch of finished goods.
- Ensure proper implementation of FIFO/FEFO, product handling, and stock rotation to maintain product integrity and freshness.
- Oversee warehouse layout and storage optimization for efficient material flow and space utilization.
- Monitor accuracy of inventory transactions and ensure alignment between physical and system records.
- Implement and enforce Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) and food safety protocols.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor outbound deliveries to customers and interplant transfers to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.
- Manage logistics partners, trucking providers, and 3PL operations to ensure service efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Review and analyze logistics KPIs such as transport cost, delivery accuracy, and lead times for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for product handling, transport, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Sales, and Procurement teams for smooth operations and alignment of delivery schedules.
- Supervise warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
Qualifications, knowledge, skills required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP/WMS platforms.
- Experience managing DC operations and working with 3PLs or transport providers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards is an advantage.
Willing to work on-site and flexible with work schedules as operationally required
