Workplace Services Desktop Engineer

• Support and maintain enterprise endpoint platforms, including Windows devices and mobile endpoints.
• Manage OS deployment, provisioning, and enrollment processes within modern workplace environments.
• Perform Windows OS lifecycle management, including updates, upgrades, and version migrations.
• Maintain hardware standards such as BIOS, firmware, and driver updates.
• Support and troubleshoot virtual desktop environments (Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, or VMware Horizon), including image management, session host health, and user experience.
• Assist with application packaging, compatibility testing, and deployment for both physical and virtual environments.
• Monitor and resolve VDI performance issues (e.g., login delays, profile loading, connectivity, and resource utilization).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Security, Network, and Service Desk) to ensure stable and reliable services.
• Support endpoint security, compliance policies, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell preferred) to improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and technical standards.
• Participate in incident, change, and release management processes.

• 3–5+ years of experience in Endpoint Engineering, Desktop Engineering, or Workplace Services.
• Hands-on experience with SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr).
• Experience with virtual desktop platforms (Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, or VMware Horizon).
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management solutions.
• Experience in application packaging, image management, and user/profile management for virtual desktops.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Understanding of endpoint security principles, compliance standards, and secure configurations.
• Experience supporting hybrid and remote workforce setups.

• Exposure to Tanium or similar endpoint management/security tools.
• Additional scripting or automation experience (PowerShell or similar).
• Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery models.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
