Job Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the hospital’s supply chain operations with a strong focus on cost review, control, and reduction. This role ensures that procurement, inventory, logistics, and vendor management processes support both operational efficiency and financial sustainability, while maintaining uninterrupted availability of critical medical supplies, equipment, and services.
Key ResponsibilitiesCost Analysis & Optimization
- Conduct regular cost reviews of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and consumables to identify savings opportunities without compromising quality and patient safety.
- Develop cost models, dashboards, and reports to track spending patterns, price variances, and supplier performance.
- Recommend strategies for cost reduction such as alternative sourcing, standardization, and bulk purchasing.
- Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to set and monitor supply-related budgets and KPIs.
- Analyze demand and usage trends across departments to forecast requirements and avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inventory levels, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
- Provide data-driven insights for management decision-making on sourcing, vendor contracts, and supply allocation.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate terms with a focus on cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability.
- Review supplier compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and service agreements.
- Maintain a database of vendor performance, pricing benchmarks, and contract histories.
- Streamline procurement and distribution processes to reduce lead time, waste, and hidden costs.
- Implement best practices in hospital supply chain management, ensuring alignment with Department of Health (DOH) standards and PhilHealth accreditation requirements.
- Identify risks in supply chain operations and recommend contingency plans to avoid supply disruptions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or cost analysis, preferably in the hospital/healthcare industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and supply chain analytics tools.
- Knowledge of hospital procurement processes, DOH and PhilHealth regulations, and healthcare supply requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to translate data into actionable cost-saving recommendations.
