Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Lead (Independent Contractor) to strengthen and oversee our organization’s cybersecurity posture. This role is responsible for defining and executing security strategies, protecting critical systems and data, and leading cybersecurity operations across risk management, compliance, and incident response functions.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with strong leadership experience and the ability to operate in a consulting or contractor capacity while delivering enterprise-level security outcomes.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Lead cybersecurity operations in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents and threats
• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat intelligence activities
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, PDPA)
• Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and secure architecture practices
• Collaborate with IT, development, and business units to integrate security into systems and projects
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and present reports to executive leadership
• Mentor and guide cybersecurity personnel, supporting continuous capability development
• Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and cybersecurity best practices

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong expertise in:
• Network security
• Endpoint protection
• Identity and access management
• Cloud security
• Application security
• Hands-on experience with:
• Security Operations Center (SOC) environments
• SIEM tools
• Incident response and threat mitigation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent
