Job Description
- Manage employee and manager relationships to ensure leave of absence policies are administered accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Serve as the internal point of contact for leave- and claim-related inquiries through resolution.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Labor Relations, and management on return-to-work requirements.
- Process leave of absence approvals, denials, and returns to work in accordance with established plan benefits.
- Communicate with employees, Human Resources, and managers regarding claim status, leave approvals, and return-to-work expectations.
- Interface with disability vendors for short-term disability, long-term disability, and workers compensation cases.
- Conduct research and provide reporting related to leave of absence data, as requested.
- Provide leave of absence guidance and direction to employees, HR Partners, managers, and Payroll.
- Partner with the LOA Coordinator on various leave-related issues, concerns, and escalations.
- Maintain highly confidential employee Personal Health Information (PHI) and related documentation, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making to ensure all tasks are performed in a timely, legal, and ethical manner
