Accounting Assistant
JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Finance Department by preparing vouchers for the company’s payable, maintaining and monitoring all records, controlling petty cash expenses, and assisting with fund replenishment and liquidation.The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks in a timely and organized manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Accounts Payable Processing- Prepare vouchers for the company’s payable, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and recorded in a timely manner.
- Process accounts payable transactions and ensure that payments are made accurately and on time.
- Release check payments to suppliers, sub-contractors, utilities, etc., according to company policies.
- Provide detailed analysis and explanations for all accounts payable payments, ensuring transparency and clarity in all financial transactions.
- Maintain and monitor records of all suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring proper posting of payments and delivered items.
- Control and monitor petty cash expenses, ensuring that funds are spent appropriately and within budget.
- Oversee the replenishment and liquidation of petty cash as necessary.
- Prepare a summary of all checks issued by the company.
- Prepare weekly summaries of outstanding checks.
- Assist in preparing payroll and organizing cash envelopes for payroll distribution.
- Print and prepare 2307 forms (withholding tax certificates).
- Prepare and post employees' monthly contributions for SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-ibig.
- Process employee loan applications and maintain records of loans.
- File and maintain vouchers, financial records, and supporting documentation.
- Print loan application forms as required.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant.
- Assist in additional tasks as needed to support the team and company objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field; Relevant years of experience in a in similar position held and industry will be considered in absence of college or bachelor degree.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role, preferably in accounts payable, payroll, or similar tasks.
Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Working Conditions: Office-based position with standard working hours. May require working in a fast-paced environment with regular deadlines and tasks requiring multitasking.
