About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join the procurement team at Orion Dockyard, Inc. in Orion, Bataan. In this full-time position, you will have an important role in managing the acquisition of materials, components, and services required for our manufacturing and logistics operations.

With a focus on ensuring a seamless supply chain, you will liaise with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and implement efficient purchasing processes.

What you'll be doing

Identify and research potential suppliers to build a diverse and reliable vendor network
Negotiate favorable contract terms and pricing with suppliers
Process purchase requisitions and orders in a timely and accurate manner
Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize shortages
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs
Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all purchasing activities
Analyse purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures

What we're looking for

Preferably holds a bachelor's degree in fields like business administration, accounting, finance, or supply chain management
At least 2 years of work-related experience
Driving skills with a valid driver’s license are necessary
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills in managing purchasing processes, tracking inventory, and maintaining records
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
Understanding of procurement processes, policies, and relevant laws and regulations
