Job Description

• Responsibility encompasses all areas outside of the control room involving Boiler, Turbine-Generator and other plant auxiliaries that form part of the whole plant operation.
• Religiously fill up the ACRO log sheet per established log time interval in every shift based on real-time values or indications involving fluid flows, pressure, temperature, generator load condition, motor & fan loads, etc. found at field instruments and panels.
• Under the supervision of the Shift Engineer on-duty, conduct regular cleaning of strainers, metal screens, air/water filters, and bag filters following the standard work instruction or procedure issued for this purpose.
• Perform regular change-over of critical equipment based on roadmap schedule, including the servicing or replacement of filter/screen/strainers, under the supervision of the Shift Engineer.
• Responsible in the de-clogging of hardened or fouled materials from drag chain conveyors, air lock feeders, wall screw, coal/sand/limestone silos, tubes/pipes, including the bailing-out of materials from inside furnace, hoppers, silos, etc.
• Perform other related duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time, including field assignments to support power plant-related projects being undertaken by APEC or its parent company FHI.
• Ensure that Environment Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) is being followed all the time and safety standards and environmental compliance are met.

• Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with PRC license, preferred
• With basic knowledge of power plant processes and parameters
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Detail oriented
• Willing to work long hours and on shifting schedule
