Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting industry.

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you are a technical leader capable of navigating the complexities of the Australian tax landscape. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives on managing diverse portfolios, from SMEs to large complex groups.

You won't just be preparing returns; you will be identifying strategic savings, supporting business advisory tasks, and acting as a vital technical resource within a high-performing virtual team environment.

Your Impact
  • Technical Compliance Mastery: Apply advanced tax knowledge to prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, and activity statements. Ensure all lodgments for companies, partnerships, trusts, and complex individual businesses strictly adhere to Australian tax rules.
  • Complex Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive work papers and complete reconciliations up to the final financial statement stage, including intricate inter-entity reconciliations for large, multi-tiered client groups.
  • Strategic Advisory Support: Go beyond basic compliance by assisting clients with tax planning, FBT, payroll tax, and Single Touch Payroll (STP). Actively identify opportunities for client process improvements or tax-saving strategies.
  • Business Performance Insights: Support critical business advisory tasks, including the development of budgets, cash flow forecasting, and detailed management reporting to help clients drive structural growth.
  • Documentation Excellence: Maintain all work papers, source documentation, and client files to the highest internal compliance standards, ensuring audit-ready quality across all engagements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong internal relationships and manage stakeholders effectively to meet productivity and turnaround targets while maintaining a highly collaborative, remote work style.
What You Bring
  • The Experience: At least 5-7 years of dedicated accounting and taxation experience within an Australian public practice or accounting firm. You have a proven track record of handling primary production taxation issues and complex entity structures.
  • The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. You are either a fully qualified CA/CPA or actively working toward your professional certification.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep, expert-level understanding of Australian taxation legislation, including GST, FBT, CGT, and Division 7A.
  • The Toolkit: Proficiency in Xero or MYOB, with a strong preference for practical experience in Reckon APS, Business Fitness, or Phoenix.
  • The Mindset: Strong commercial acumen with an uncompromising eye for detail. You are a proactive problem-solver who can prioritize complex tasks effectively to meet strict Australian lodgment deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Communication Prowess: Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with the ability to communicate nuanced technical issues clearly to internal teams and Australian-based partners.
