Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Creates design solutions/meets design requirements for Islands Souvenir products, with specialized focus on T-shirts, aligning designs with organization's visual 'brand'

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Thinks creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
• Use computer software to generate new images.
• Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer.
• Draw and print graphs, illustrations, and other artwork
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Follow through on activities from creation and development of design to sampling
• Comply with product design sheet
• Coordinates with sampling on actual prints ( assignment of colors, etc)
• Coordinates with marketing and executive office on requirements for special orders/events.

Qualifications/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Fine Arts or related course
• Creatively-inclined
• Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, etc
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work with multiple projects and deadlines
• Keen attention to detail
