Accounts Payable and Tax Compliance Associate

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare, review, and file tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors or tax consultants.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and implement necessary updates to internal processes.Handles tax compliance, accounts payable, and general accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, timely filings, and adherence to local tax regulations.

Accounts Payable:

  • Process vendor invoices and verify payment accuracy against contracts and purchase orders.
  • Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
  • Prepare and schedule payments through bank transfers, checks, or online systems.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.

General Accounting:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for tax and accounts payable.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Generate financial reports related to tax filings and accounts payable for management review.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1- 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax compliance and accounts payable.
  • Experience with tax filings, compliance, and vendor payment processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, SAP).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Knowledge of local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies.
