Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the dewatering activities including the drain tunnels, ensuring operational efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance.
Major Job Functions:- Provide leadership and direction to pit dewatering team, including assigning tasks, scheduling shifts and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate the deployment, installation and maintenance of dewatering pumps, piping systems and related equipment to manage water levels and prevent pit flooding.
- Conduct quality check in performing Butt Welding of HDPE pipe, Repair of pontoon and pumps.
- Knowing in all aspect of major problem in all pumps.
- Monitor dewatering activities, including pump operation, water flow rates and discharge volumes, to ensure effective water management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Appoints the presence of a productive and highly motivated section-wide workforce operating efficiently in harmony and synergy.
- Reviews risk assessment containing potential hazards identification and existing controls evaluation and improvement.
- Assists/supervises during incident investigation (LTI, NLTI, Near-Misses, Property Damage.)
- Licensed Mechanical Engineering /Mining Engineer
- At least 5 years working experience in mine underground tunnel maintenance
