QA Test Lead

All of this must be achieved while adhering to industry best practices and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead manual and automated testing efforts across the full software project life cycle, including planning, requirement review, design, development, release, UAT support, production deployment, and support.
• Participate in the entire product development cycle to provide actionable feedback and improve product quality.
• Adapt to rapid deployment cycles and evolving testing patterns.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover unexpected behaviors and refine test coverage.
• Develop, publish, implement, and maintain detailed test cases and documentation.
• Conduct performance, scalability, security, and usability testing to meet non-functional requirements.
• Identify gaps between standards and user applications and recommend necessary modifications.
• Perform compatibility testing across systems, browsers, and software environments.
• Recommend improvements or corrections to development teams.
• Develop and execute manual functional and regression test cases.
• Analyze, track, and report on application issues, maintaining clear defect metrics and documentation.
• Automate functional, regression, unit, performance, and load tests for APIs, web applications, databases, and web services.
• Participate in design and code reviews of automation projects.
• Convert existing manual test cases into automated scripts.
• Provide leadership by overseeing resource assignments and interacting directly with clients.
• Maintain a professional, team-player approach and demonstrate strong customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with strong focus on automation.
• Expertise in Web Services Testing, API Testing, and Backend Testing.
• Strong understanding of QA processes across requirements gathering, test methodology, execution, and release.
• Advanced SQL skills for backend validation and testing.
• Experience in planning, documenting, and reviewing test cases and test suites.
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated functional and regression testing.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Significant experience testing cross-browser web applications.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Working knowledge of virtual machine environments.
• Familiarity with XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience using automation tools like Selenium, QTP, SoapUI, or similar.
• Experience conducting performance and load testing.
• Strong leadership experience managing teams, resource assignments, and client interactions.
