Electrician

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Plan electrical systems by interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with local and national codes.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure proper operation.
• Replace or upgrade electrical components, including circuit breakers, switches, and wiring.
• Install and troubleshoot electrical components in HVAC, lighting, and power distribution systems
• Adhere to safety standards, wearing required protective equipment and following safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or relevant trade school certification.
• Valid electrician license or certification (e.g., Master Electrician).
• Proven experience as an electrician (e.g., 2+ years).
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and under various weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Specialized in troubleshooting electronics, PCB and other boards.
• Experience in airport electrical systems.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), controls and automation systems.
• Additional certifications, such as OSHA safety training or CPR/First Aid.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
