Data Scientist | Onsite (Independent Contractor)
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly advanced, pragmatic, and intellectually curious Data Scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will design and deliver end-to-end analytical, statistical, and machine learning solutions to uncover deep insights across complex online markets.
You will build scalable data workflows, develop predictive models, perform exploratory and causal analysis, and help drive innovation in our data and intelligence capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments and enjoys solving complex problems at the intersection of mathematics, AI, engineering, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Data Science & Modeling- Design and implement machine learning models and AI-driven analytics workflows
- Perform predictive modeling, segmentation, classification, and behavioral analysis
- Conduct market simulations, forecasting, and causal inference studies
- Deliver high-impact insights and recommendations
- Build and maintain data pipelines for collection, validation, and transformation
- Develop scalable datasets using SQL, Python, and cloud tools
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple sources
- Prototype and evaluate new AI tools and methodologies
- Identify opportunities to automate processes using AI and model-driven workflows
- Contribute to new data products and analytics capabilities
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar tools
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders
- Communicate findings clearly, including risks and limitations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, sales, clients)
- Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in data science
- Support new market intelligence initiatives
- Contribute to product enhancements and analytics-driven features
Qualifications
Required- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field
- At least 4 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics
- Strong proficiency in:
- Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn)
- SQL and relational databases
- Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros/VBA)
- Machine learning model development, tuning, and validation
- Data modeling and ETL processes
- Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience working with large, complex datasets
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience in high-growth or data-intensive environments
- Background in:
- Algorithmic trading
- Game theory or simulation modeling
- NLP or text analytics
- Anomaly/fraud detection
- Betting strategy development
- Experience integrating AI/ML into products or workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
