About the role
Embark on an exciting work-from-home opportunity as a Medical Coder with Seven Seven Global Services, Inc. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for accurately coding and classifying medical records and procedures, playing a vital part in the efficient operation of the healthcare system.
What you'll be doing- Review and analyse medical records, charts, and other documentation to determine the appropriate medical codes
- Assign standardised medical codes according to classification systems such as ICD, CPT, and HCPCS
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate code assignment
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all coding activities
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding regulations and guidelines
- Provide support and training to other team members as needed
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical coding or a related healthcare administrative role
- Proficiency in ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
