L2 and L3 Cloud Operations Engineer (Permanent WFH and Night Shift)

SUMMARY

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in Microsoft cloud technologies, virtualization, identity management, and IT operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD
• Manage user accounts, licensing, policies, and security configurations
• Troubleshoot service issues and ensure high availability of cloud platforms

• Manage Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid) and Azure AD environments
• Implement identity governance, access controls, and group policies
• Support authentication methods including SSO, MFA, and conditional access

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot virtual environments using VMware and Hyper-V
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization
• Support hybrid cloud integrations and migrations

• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and tooling

• Configure and maintain monitoring tools to ensure system health and uptime
• Manage backup solutions and perform regular restore testing
• Respond to alerts, incidents, and performance issues proactively

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments
• Manage patching, updates, and system hardening
• Troubleshoot OS-level issues and service disruptions

• Manage Windows endpoints using tools like Intune, SCCM, or similar
• Enforce security policies, updates, and compliance standards
• Provide support for endpoint-related incidents and requests

• Support basic to intermediate network operations (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across cloud and on-prem environments
• Collaborate with network teams on escalated issues

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution
• Conduct DR drills and validate recovery procedures
• Ensure documentation is current and aligned with recovery objectives

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for escalated incidents and service requests
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
• Work closely with NOC teams to ensure SLA adherence and service reliability
• Document solutions, runbooks, and knowledge base articles

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
• Solid understanding of Active Directory and identity management
• Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell preferred)
• Experience with monitoring and backup tools
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration
• Familiarity with endpoint management solutions (Intune/SCCM)
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
• Experience in IT operations, NOC environments, or managed services

• Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
• Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
