Tax Accountant (Australian Tax) — Remote / Work From Home
About the Role
Femia Accountants is looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our cloud-based team. You'll prepare tax returns and financial statements for a portfolio of Australian individuals, companies, and trusts, working remotely during Australian business hours as part of a modern, professional firm.

What You'll Do- Prepare and lodge Australian tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts
- Prepare financial statements in line with Australian accounting standards
- Maintain clear, well-organised workpapers and supporting documentation
- Use Xero day-to-day for client accounting and tax work
- Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and reporting deadlines
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
- A minimum of 1 years' full-time experience in Australian taxation, including hands-on preparation of Australian tax returns. This is non-negotiable — please don't apply without it.
- Demonstrated experience preparing returns for individuals, companies, and trusts
- Strong working knowledge of Australian tax law and accounting standards
- Proficiency with Xero
- Xero Certification — ideally already held, otherwise to be completed within 3 months of starting
Your Home Setup
To work effectively with us remotely, you'll need:
- A stable wired internet connection
- A laptop or desktop suitable for accounting software
- An HD webcam and noise-cancelling headset
- A quiet, professional workspace at home
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Philippine Time (Australian business hours).
