Job Summary
The Property Engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day engineering operations of the property, ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.The role supports the Property Manager in maintaining the property's operational excellence through preventive maintenance, contractor management, technical inspections, and compliance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of building equipment and facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure building systems are operating safely and efficiently.
- Supervise and evaluate maintenance personnel and third-party contractors.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
- Prepare maintenance reports, equipment uptime reports, and technical documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of engineering budgets and operating expenses.
- Respond to tenant and resident concerns related to engineering and maintenance issues.
- Ensure proper maintenance of fire protection, safety, and emergency systems.
- Assist in securing permits, licenses, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Review and evaluate renovation, fit-out, and construction plans submitted by tenants.
- Monitor contractor works and ensure compliance with building standards and specifications.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor utility consumption.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Licensed Engineer is preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in property management, building operations, or facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, building systems, and construction/fit-out works.
- Familiarity with fire protection systems, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills.
- Experience in condominium, commercial, office, or mixed-use property management is an advantage.
